To evaluate the predictive value of ultrasonographic appearance of endometrium for the outcome of in vitro fertilization and embryo transfer, 45 stimulated cycles of 34 patients were analysed, No relationship was found between ultrasonographic
appearance of endometrium and age, hormone levels, duration of hyperstimulation, number of aspirated follicles and mature oocytes, number of transferred embryos, No pregnancy was occurred when the endometrial thickness was less than 10mm, while
pregnancy rate was 30.3% when endometrium greater than or equal to 10mm thick was seen (P<0.05). Type triple-line endometrial pattern was associated with a higher pregnancy rate(42.9%), compared to other types, but this was not statistically
significant
(p>0.05).
